For the first time, an eco school and running competition for students from the Deliblato’s Paja Marganović Primary School was organised in the Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac on June 8–12, 2015. The eco workshop and running competition was organised by Dr. Karolina Petrović, an ecologist in the Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac, in collaboration with the Sport Fishing Association Deliblatsko Jezero and teachers from the Paja Marganović Primary School and financially supported by Kovin Municipality.

At an interactive lecture, followed by a walk and eco workshop, 1st to 7th grade students had a chance to get familiar with the valuable natural features of the Reserve, including floating peat islands and rare and protected species, such as the European mMudminnow, the European Ground Squirrel, and the European Bee-eater. Moreover, the running competition was held on the Spasovina pasture where in the past horse races were held and today is one of the last refugia of the European Ground Squirrel in Serbia.
